Working with linear material such as metal is interesting because of its flexibility and quality to enhance the structure while paying attention to detail. Often the forms are inspired by visuals from my day to day life, mood and state of mind. Transforming a largely industrial material into tangible sculptures breathes meaning and life into them.  With my experience, I have found that metal can be treated similar to yarn using fiber art techniques like coiling, wrapping, weaving and crochet. It is also used as armature for other mediums such as fabric and paper, providing structure and stability.
